There are some items you’ll likely need to bring, and others you should leave behind. For a helpful list, please click here.

One essential item to bring is your medication. We have a policy outlining which medications are permitted and which are not, to ensure the safety of everyone in the house. If you’re unsure whether a medication is allowed, please ask us before your admission.

Things To Bring

The following items are optional but recommended for a comfortable stay:

  • Clothing for all seasons: Washington experiences hot summers and cold winters, so pack accordingly.
  • Toiletries and personal care items: Bring essentials like shampoo, conditioner, razors, facial wipes, and washcloths, as these aren’t provided.
  • Extra blankets or comforter: While the house supplies bedding, you’re welcome to bring additional blankets for added comfort.
  • Shower caddy: Since personal care items can’t be stored in the bathroom, consider bringing a caddy. We also have them available for purchase if needed.
  • Laundry supplies: Don’t forget soap, fabric softener, or dryer sheets for washing clothes.
  • House shoes or slippers: Shoes must be removed indoors, so bring comfortable footwear for inside the house.
  • Eye mask and earplugs: These can be helpful if your roommate has a different sleep schedule than you.
  • Headlamp or reading lamp: Handy for reading without disturbing others.
  • Personal electronics and charging cables: Make sure to pack your devices and chargers.
  • Bicycle: If you don’t have a car or can’t drive, a bike can be a convenient option for getting around.
  • Hangers for your clothing
  • Laundry hamper or bag: This is required for keeping your laundry organized. We also have them available for purchase.
  • Athletic apparel, tennis shoes, swimsuit, and sunglasses: Ideal for outdoor activities and exercise.
  • Notebook or journal: Useful for jotting down thoughts or keeping track of your recovery progress.
  • Books: Pack a few good reads for your downtime.
  • Recovery program materials: Bring any literature or resources related to your recovery journey.
  • Games: We have a selection available, but feel free to bring your favorite ones.

These suggestions aim to ensure a comfortable and well-prepared stay.
